Where and When

We are getting married on October 25th at the itHouse in Pioneertown, the ceremony is scheduled for 4 but realistically, let's say between 4 and 5. We are hoping not to have everyone drive there because parking space is limited so we will have most of you park at another location, TBD, and we will arrange to shuttle you from there, please plan to arrive at the parking area at 3pm. Stay tuned for more information.

Where to stay

If you don't have accommodations at this point, I'm sad to say that both the Pioneertown Motel and Rimrock Ranch are fully booked, that leaves a selection of Hotels in Yucca Valley and the possibility of renting a house on Airbnb, I've created a Facebook event that you have probably been invited to so that if any of our desert friends have extra space then they could let people know, if that's a possibility. The Pioneertown Motel is going to let me know if they have any cancellations so I wouldn't worry, I think we will come up with something.

What to expect

Once everyone arrives at the itHouse we hope to get the ceremony going as quickly as possible while there is still daylight. Weather in the high desert is unpredictable at this time of year so be prepared for anything. Bring a jacket and maybe a hat too. Don't wear high heels, we are going desert formal, which means pretty casual by everyone else's standards, just be yourselves and be comfortable.

The next day

My dear friend Kris McDowell has generously offered to host a brunch at her house in Joshua Tree. She has a swimming pool so bring your bathing suit just in case it's warm out! That will be at 10:30 am on Sunday. To get there, from highway 62 go south on Sunnyhill, which is right next to the Joshua Tree Inn, left on Sunburst, right on Outpost and left on Wahl Terrace, it's the last house on the right.

Gift Registry

Since we are not expecting you to bring us a gift, we didn't register. We know that many of you will feel compelled to bring something anyway because I know my friends are a thoughtful and generous bunch, so I am letting you know that the only thing we could think of that we need is a turntable and speakers so we can listen to records. So, if you really feel compelled, then we will accept contributions towards that, if you feel as weird about giving cash as I feel about accepting it, then there are a few stores listed here that we like very much and if you would rather do that then we thank you very much.

BKB Ceramics (Joshua Tree)
ReForm School (Los Angeles)
General Store (San Francisco & Venice)
Muji (LA, SF and online)

Photographs

We are not hiring a photographer so we encourage you to bring any and all cameras you have. We ask however, that you not post any pictures publicly, as there were a lot of people that we couldn't invite and we don't want people to feel left out. We will create a photobucket or something where we can share the pictures.

Phone Reception

There is VERY limited phone reception at the itHouse so communicating with the outside world is almost impossible. If you are trying to get ahold of me while we are up there, well, don't waste your battery.
